I haven't drawn barely at all this entire break, due to both me being sick for awhile and also in what I would call a "negative, angry art lapse", but in an attempt to get over that I did this rather...silly thing for a Worth1000 contest. The idea was to illustrate a horror monster's 'decor' in some area of their home. Of course, being a huge Hannibal Lecter fangirl, I had to do Hannibal's kitchen. Not to mention I just read "Hannibal Rising", (rather disappointing honestly) and with the upcoming movie adaptation coming up I'm falling back into my bizzare fandom.
I did this in a ridiculously short amount of time due to the contest deadline, and sadly had to rush a lot of it. I'm irked that some of the lettering is sorta mushy. Some parts of it could be a lot better, but I suppose for the time I did it in I'm pretty happy with it. Lots of Hannibal references and silliness throughout.
I like the cupboard of fava beans, and the katana above the window

Lol I love all the little jokes in there from the books: "have an old friend for dinner", the linoleum knife, and whatnot. XD Great pic. Yea I agree about Hannibal Rising (book). It could have been much better. It seems like Thomas Harris is changing is writing style.
Thank's so much!! I'm always so glad to meet a fellow 'fan' of the series. And nice that there are other people out there who get the little jokes.
Yeah, sadly...the idea for the book had SO much potential, but the writing....yeah it just didn't work for that book. I was really surprised, given that his writing style was so different before. But I'm holding out hope that the upcoming movie will be better than the book. (even though it's usually the other way around).
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

Why Pray? If it changes God's mind then he is not sovereign. If it does not change God's mind then it is pointless.
